Beautiful design makes a beautiful life.
Charles Lewis Tiffany

Charles Lewis Tiffany opened his “stationery and fancy goods emporium” at 259 Broadway in 1837 with a borrowed $1,000 (first-day sales: $4.98). In 1847, Tiffany began offering American and European clocks and pocket watches. In 1853, Tiffany commissioned a bronze Atlas, shouldering a clock, above his new emporium at 550 Broadway, decades before public clocks were common. Tiffany opened a Geneva watch factory in 1874 and showed jeweled timepieces at the 1889 Paris Exposition, proving an American house could rival Switzerland. We are happy to curate vintage Tiffany timepieces that carry this legacy forward.
