Asprey opened in 1781 as a silk-printing workshop, a century before becoming the New Bond Street name dressing maharajas, oil barons, and the Sultan of Brunei. In 1908, Asprey began offering in-house watchmaking and customized timepieces. By the 1950s–60s, the house was a tastemaker. Its scrolled signature appeared on dials by Jaeger-LeCoultre and Rolex for discerning clients. The Asprey Sunflower cocktail watch extends Asprey’s historic high-jewelry collections, its construction reflecting the house’s interest in bespoke horology. Asprey continued commissioning one-of-a-kind watches from independent master watchmakers, setting the house apart.
